GRAPPA DI SASSICAIA Aged Grappa, single vintage Marc from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC. Aroma: Wood, vanilla, cocoa, coffee, liquorice Taste: Full-bodied, structured, majestic. Distillation: The marc (the skins and seeds of grape) is distilled with an ancient pot still composed of copper cauldrons working at discontinuous cycle. The distillate thus obtained is about 75% alc./vol and therefore, once the ageing period is finished, it is brought to consumption degree by adding distilled water; then it is refrigerated at a temperature of ?6 ?C, filtered and finally bottled Ageing: Aged 4 years in French oak barrique and finished for one year in Sassicaia barrels
